Getting the most out of your inspection.

When having your home inspected, it is good to have a clear understanding on what to expect from the inspection.

First, what is being inspected?

The inspection consists of a visual evaluation of your current or perspective homes condition. The elements of the home that are inspected include:

  • Structure
  • Roof
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC)
  • Exterior
  • Insulation

Second, what is the inspector looking for?

The inspector is looking for major defects in any of the critical elements of the home described above. The inspector is also looking for any issues that could pose a safety risk to the occupants of the home. Any defects that are identified will be reported and a level of severity should be identified.
